Ai Aiba Lodge
We settled into what proved to both the most comfortable accommodation on the trip (and the standard we both expected and thought we paid for) and the best managed too.
Having dropped off our luggage and topped up on caffeine we then had a wander around the immediate grounds of the lodge.
At the watering hole a Rock Martin took a drink:
Violet-eared Waxbills flocked together:
A bird we'd hoped to see sooner on the trip but were delighted to eventually see, the Rosy-faced Lovebird:
We felt really comfortable at the Ai Aiba. While wandering around one of the managers pointed out there was a sink water run-off below a couple of the huts and that it was really popular with the birds. We decided to start the next day there, before breakfast, and settled down to a top notch dinner.
