Home and Away

Some friends came to stay over this weekend and they brought with them their night camera, which I duly set-up in the area where we believe Badgers have been visiting regularly (though not every night) to feed on the nuts and rolled oats we leave out. We were delighted with the results.

First up two Badgers feeding:

The male climbs around the frame to get at the rolled oats:

When most of the food is eaten it's time to have a quick scratch:

We also caught a fox on film, this one appears to be making a real meal out of a single peanut, straight to camera as if making a point:

By way of a round-up, I also recently had another work trip, this time to Providence, Rhode Island, which has a beautiful city centre:

The State Capitol is something to behold too:

Though it was great to get home in time for Badger Watch!

Business Trip to Vegas and DC

Another brief trip across the pond provided some limited photo opportunities, such as out of my window just after dawn on Monday morning, looking towards the Strip:

And the sun causing some great reflections and light effects:

My last stop was in Washington, DC, where I grabbed 30 minutes ahead of a meeting close to The White House:

Before it was time to head home again:

Even without birding and short for time it's proving possible to grab some reasonable snaps on these trips.....
